पंडितजी को दान क्यों दें?
शास्त्रों के अनुसार दान का विशेष महत्व है। दान केवल भौतिक वस्तु का लेन-देन नहीं है, बल्कि यह आस्था, श्रद्धा और पुण्य का माध्यम है। जब हम किसी योग्य ब्राह्मण, पंडित या विद्वान को श्रद्धा से दान करते हैं, तो उसका फल शाश्वत (हमेशा रहने वाला) होता है।
शास्त्रों में प्रमाण
- मनुस्मृति (अध्याय 3, श्लोक 116) “श्रद्धया देयं ब्राह्मणेभ्यः प्रागुत्पन्नाय दक्षिणाम्। नात्याशास्ते नात्यल्पं च न चात्यधिकमादिशेत्॥“
- भावार्थ – श्रद्धा के साथ ब्राह्मण को दिया गया दान पुण्य को बढ़ाता है। न तो यह दान बहुत कम होना चाहिए और न ही अत्यधिक।
- महाभारत – अनुशासन पर्व (अध्याय 60, श्लोक 7) “ब्राह्मणाय प्रदत्तं हि दानं भवति शाश्वतम्। अन्येभ्यः प्रदत्तं तु दानं क्षयति सर्वथा॥“
- भावार्थ – ब्राह्मण को दिया गया दान शाश्वत फल देता है, जबकि दूसरों को दिया गया दान समय के साथ समाप्त हो जाता है।
- भागवत पुराण (स्कंध 7, अध्याय 14, श्लोक 17) “विप्रेभ्यो दीयते दानं यथार्हं यदनुग्रहम्। तत् सर्वं भगवान् प्रीत्या गृह्णाति तदन्वितम्॥“
- भावार्थ – जब योग्य ब्राह्मण को उचित दान दिया जाता है, तो भगवान स्वयं उसे स्वीकार करते हैं।
- पद्म पुराण – उत्तर खंड “ब्राह्मणेभ्यो हि यद्दत्तं तत्सर्वं भगवान् स्वयम्। गृह्णाति हृदये तुष्ट्या शाश्वतं फलदायकम्॥“
- भावार्थ – ब्राह्मण को दिया गया दान भगवान को दिया हुआ माना जाता है और यह शाश्वत फलदायी होता है।
- गरुड़ पुराण – प्रेत कल्प “सत्पात्रे प्रदत्तं हि यत् तद्धर्म्यं स्मृतं महत्। विशेषतः द्विजेभ्यश्च दत्तं मोक्षप्रदं भवेत्॥“
- भावार्थ – योग्य व्यक्ति (सत्पात्र) को दिया गया दान धर्मयुक्त और महान माना जाता है, विशेषकर विद्वान ब्राह्मण को दिया गया दान मोक्ष प्रदान करता है।
निष्कर्ष –
पंडितजी या ब्राह्मण को दिया गया दान केवल उनके जीवन-निर्वाह का साधन नहीं है, बल्कि यह भगवान तक पहुँचने का सीधा मार्ग है। श्रद्धा से दिया गया दान धन, स्वास्थ्य, संतान–सुख, पुण्य और अंततः मोक्ष प्रदान करता है।

In the scriptures, charity (daan) holds immense significance. Donation is not merely giving away material things, but an act of faith, devotion, and spiritual merit (punya). When one donates with reverence to a deserving Pandit or Brahmin, the results are eternal and divine.

- Meaning – Donation given to a Brahmin with faith enhances spiritual merit.
- Mahabharata – Anushasana Parva (Chapter 60, Verse 7) 👉 "A gift given to a Brahmin becomes eternal; while gifts given to others perish with time."
- Meaning – Charity to a Brahmin grants eternal merit, unlike donations to others.
- Bhagavata Purana (Canto 7, Chapter 14, Verse 17) 👉 "When charity is given to a deserving Brahmin, the Lord Himself accepts it with joy."
- Meaning – Donation to a worthy Brahmin is directly accepted by God Himself.
- Padma Purana – Uttara Khanda 👉 "Whatever is given to a Brahmin is directly received by God, bringing eternal rewards."
- Meaning – Donations to Brahmins are considered as offerings to God, yielding everlasting results.
- Garuda Purana – Preta Kalpa 👉 "Charity given to the right recipient is highly righteous, and donation to Brahmins grants liberation (moksha)."
- Meaning – Giving to the deserving, especially Brahmins, is a great dharma that leads to ultimate liberation.
